Information the app uses

The app uses on-device Android APIs to provide its charging display features:

• Battery level, charging status, and charging source such as USB, AC, wireless, or dock.
• Current time, formatted according to your selected clock preference.
• Device orientation sensor data when upright-and-charging mode is enabled.
• Local settings such as display mode, colors, brightness mode, charge target, and OLED protection preferences.

This information is used locally to render the charging display and apply your preferences.

Information we collect

We do not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal information. The app does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, crash reporting SDKs, or user tracking.

Local storage

Minimal ChargeGlow stores app preferences on your device using Android DataStore. These preferences remain local to the app unless you or Android’s backup system transfer app data as part of device backup or restore.

Permissions and system access

The app may request or declare these Android capabilities:

• DreamService / screen saver: lets Android show Minimal ChargeGlow as a charging screen saver after you enable it in system settings.
• Live wallpaper: optional lock-screen wallpaper mode where supported by the device.
• Notifications: used only if you enable the full-screen notification display mode.
• Full-screen intent: used only to request showing the charging display over the lock screen when Android allows it.
• Foreground service: used only for the user-started lock-screen notification watcher.
• Device sensors: used locally for upright-device detection while the charging display is active.

Google Fonts

The app uses Android’s downloadable font support for the Inter font when available. Font retrieval is handled by the Android/Google Play Services font provider on supported devices. Minimal ChargeGlow does not use this to identify you or track app usage.

Children’s privacy

Minimal ChargeGlow is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data deletion

Because the app does not collect server-side personal data, there is no remote account or server record to delete. You can delete local app preferences by clearing the app’s storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app.

Changes to this policy

If the app’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before those changes are released where required.
